WINTER MEALS ARE NOT ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT. IT IS RARE THAT YOU SEE WINTER MEALS IN A COOKBOOK OR HEAR MANY CONVERSATIONS ABOUT WINTER MEALS. MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE EAT WINTER MEALS YEAR-ROUND, I KNOW I DO. I LOVE SOUPS AND CHILI ALL YEAR ROUND, AND A GREAT CHICKEN POTPIE. ANOTHER REASON YOU DONT HEAR ABOUT WINTER MEALS IS BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT MEALS ARE CONSIDERED A WINTER MEAL. WE ALL KNOW SOUPS, CHILI, POTPIES AND BEEF STEW ARE WINTER MEALS BUT IS THAT ALL? NOT EVEN CLOSE. PASTAS, CASSEROLES, CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS EVEN MEATLOAF AND MASHED POTATOES CAN BE CONSIDERED A WINTER MEAL. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THESE WINTER MEALS, BECAUSE THESE ARE ALSO YEAR-ROUND MEALS FOR. THESE ARE ALSO COMFORT FOODS AND IF YOU ARE ANYTHING LIKE ME CONFORT FOODS ARE THE BEST MEALS. SOME MEALS CAN NOT BE PUT INTO ONE CATEGORY. WINTER MEALS ARE THE BEST CONFORT MEALS. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

New Year Diet Plan

 IT IS THE NEW YEAR, WHICH MEANS IT IS TIME TO GET BACK ON TRACK WITH YOUR DIET. I KNOW THE HOLIDAYS JUST PAST AND YOU ENJOYED ALL THE DELICIOUS FOOD JUST LIKE I DID. HOWEVER, IT IS TIME THAT WE GET BACK TO OUR DIET PLAN. MY PLAN IS NO BREAD DURING THE WEEK ONLY WEEKENDS. NO EATING PAST 9PM AND NO DRINKING LIQUOR DURING THE WEEK JUST 1 CUP OF WINE. CUTTING CHICKEN AND GROUNG TURKEY OUT OF MY DIET SLOWLY AND USING BEYOND BEEF MORE. THIS YEAR I AM STAYING ON TRACK AND I HOPE YOU DO THE SAME. SO, TELL ME WHAT IS YOUR DIET PLAN FOR THE NEW YEAR.

Christmas Menu

 CHRISTMAS IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY. YES, I LOVE THE EGGNOG AND BEING WITH MY FAMILY, BUT WHAT I LOVE THE MOST IS THE FOOD. I LOVE GOING TO ST. LOUIS BECAUSE THE FOOD IN THE MIDWEST IS AMAZING. THE FAVOR IS DIFFERENT, AND ALOT OF PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY HAS THE SAME DIET AS ME, NO BEEF NO PORK. MY SISTER IS VEGAN AND I LOVE WHEN SHE COOKS HER VEGAN FOOD IT IS AMAZING. THE BEST DISH IS MY MOMS MOSTACCIOLI. ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH DID NOT KNOW WHAT MOSTACCIOLI WAS SO I ONLY GET IT WHEN I GO HOME. YES, I CAN MAKE IT BUT, I DONT THINK IT WILL BE AS GOOD AS MY MOMS. MY MOM IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE COOKS SO WHEN I GO HOME IM ALWAYS EXCITED TO EAT EVERYTHING SHE COOKS. SO, TELL ME WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE COOK AND WHAT ITEM ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO EAT FOR CHRISTMAS. I AM EXCITED TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL.

Double your vegetable

Adding fresh vegetables to your meals is another step to help you get healthier. I started doubling my veggies on every meal, even if it's as small as a sandwich. doubling your veggies and decreasing your protein is a really big step, and I know it is easier said than done. When I first started changing my diet, I started just changing my dinner only and it still was a really big step. You do not have to change everything at once, and small steps help just has much as the big steps trust me.

Salt free seasonings is a great 1st step into changing your diet. Do not think just because the seasoning is salt free that it will not season your food the way you like it. These seasonings are amazing, and you will have healthy food that also tastes good. Yes, changing your seasoning are a small step but it will change your food in an amazing way. Take it from me, you will not regret this change.

EXCITED

I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE MY OWN WEBSITE. THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME. THE POINT OF THIS BLOG IS TO CREATE A COMMUNITY THAT CHEER EACH OTHER ON WHILE WE ME MAKE HEATHIER CHOICES. WHILE I WAS GOING THROUGH MY SUGGLES, THE ONE THING I HATED WAS FEELING ALONE. I ALWAYS FELT LIKE NO ONE UNDERSTOOD HOW I FELT OR WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH ME. I HAVE AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE SO I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CHANGE MY DIET, BUT I DID NOT KNOW WHERE TO START. I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH AND REALIZED ALL I HAVE TO DO WAS SET REALISTIC GOALS FOR MYSELF. I HAD TO START SMALL AND LITTLE BY LITTLE I HAD SOMETHING THAT WORKED FOR ME. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT SO WHY WOULD YOU THINK 1 DIET WILL WORK ON EVERYONE. THE BIGGEST THING SOME PEOPLE FORGET IS STARTING SMALL IS THE BEST THING TO DO WHEN TRYING SOMETHING NEW.  ANOTHER THING PEOPLE FORGET IS THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE. THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME AS YOU OR MAYBE WORSE. I STARTED THIS SO THAT NO ONE EVER FEEL HOW I FELT. WE CAN GET THROUGH THIS TOGTHER.
